OUR ADULTS

In general, Jiu Jitsu is unique in that it attracts people from every walk of life.  The Waza BJJ community is comprised diverse group of people that share a common passion: the art and science of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  This includes men and women of every race and ethnicity and a wide range of professions, including:  doctors, lawyers, construction workers, physicists, truck drivers,  IT specialist, bankers, students, teachers, lobbyists, police and correctional officers, soldiers, etc.  In addition, we have every size, shape, and body type from 100 lbs to 300 lbs.  Jiu Jitsu is not for everyone, but everyone can benefit from Jiu Jitsu. The key ingredients to being successful in jiu jitsu are not natural athleticism, but rather patience, passion, persistence, and curiosity.

OUR KIDS

We have a wide range of boys and girls from 4 to 16 years old.  Many of our parents have brought them in for a variety of reasons, including: keeping them active, fit, and off the couch, increasing their confidence and ability to address bullying, or preparing for competition.  We have had countless success stories where Jiu Jitsu has transformed a child's life.

FAMILIES

Once one family member starts at Waza BJJ, it is not long before other family members join in on the training.  We have and have had family combinations including: father/daughter, father/son, boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife, mother/daughter, and even grandfather/grandson.
